Sure, boosting Eula's cryo damage is a net positive. But calling that why Shenhe "shines" is kind of ignoring all she does for Eula's burst and normal attacks in the physical damage department, which is where Eula shines.
Why are you comparing Shenhe and Ganyu?? Shenhe is meant to be a full support. Ganyu is meant to be a DPS.
Shenhe shines with Eula & Diona because Eula has no Cryo boost and Diona has low attack. Shenhe bumps their 'off-forte' damage a lot.
I don't think they said anywhere about shenhe not being able to buff herself. But either way, she isn't a good Main DPS because of her low normal ATK DMG modifiers. Thats like saying yeah amber can be good main dps too, if you compare her to other main dps....

You say Shenhe only can buff others. Maybe it's the German translation of the game, but I could not find any single word saying that. Which means Shenhe CAN work as Main-DPS as long she is able to deal Cryo-DMG. Pair her with Chongyun as Support and she becomes Main-DPS using the Cryo-Set from Draginspine.
Zhongli is complete trash. His animations are looking good but diona is much better than him
Welp. Didn't realize I was so close to pity and pulled her. And don't even have anyone on my comp that goes well with her. I wanted Xiao or Zhongli.
Ayaka doesn't need Shenhe as a support. You don't need a 15% cyro dmg bonus. Just freeze the opponent with Xingqiu will do. Better save your primo for Zhongli if you don't have him.
Im sorry but shenhe is not worth it. She really is an A. Go for ganyu if u want cryo! She is one of the best in game characters with the highest damage multiplyer in game ( sorry for bad english)
No one is saying Shenhe is better than Ayaka. Shenhe is a supp and makes Ayaka better and if you use Ayaka, you should definitely pull for her.
Meta slaves will ignore Shenhe when Ayaka is way better. New players won't pull her as well, no way noob can reach Enkanomiya to get her ascension material.
why isn't Ayaka in character recomendations?
If you're still looking to get constellations for Chongyun, I heard he goes well with Shenhe

My luck has always been losing 50/50s and getting them around the 80s + i just wanted some Chongyun constellation
There is no such thing as building pity. You pull on a limited banner if you want to 5 star and don’t if you don’t. You cannot get a limited 5 star on accident. You pull on their banner knowing full well that there is a chance you can get them and reset your pity/guarantee.
I wasn't trying to get her but i got her at 57 pulls and i had a 100% limited banner character before i was just trying to build pity but in the end i somehow got her and idk wat to use her with rn
