ganyu isnt worth it in general when they released ayaka. but now cryo geo dps aint worth it after dendro's release cuz team like hyperbloom is cheaper to build than ayaka's team yet stronger. advising newbies to invest in cryo is just bad advice nowadays when dendro exists.
who said cryo worse than geo? read again. "its basically geo with more steps" aka its only a slightly better geo cuz you actually have few reactions. besides, i noticed that freeze teams are only used by old players who have used up all their resources for their cryo characters. like in asia only those with uid 80..-82... still bothered with ayaka and cryo, theyre still perfecting their freeze team. while newer players have been clearing abyss easily with 1 month investment dendro teams.
please tell me how cryo is bad when freeze teams are still very much relevant & heavily used? Sure, Dendro is great (and will continue to be the star of the show, that I can agree with), but saying cryo is worse than geo? I wouldn’t go that far. Not when you have Kamisato Slayaka and Ganyu around.

You mean invest in Dendro, Electro and Hydro ? Cuz mono Dendro is worst then mono Cryo or Geo xD
for newbies, i advise you to invest in dendro instead. cryo is bad its basically geo with more steps.

For Ayaka and Ganyu , everything and "waste" don't exist here, Genshin is long time ago broken so its only win win Game , you are worrying to much xD i got Shenhe from 1st banner don't regret it :)
inb4 Cryo have their dedicated support 4* Cryo like Faruzan/Gorou/Sara and powercreep Shenhe. good luck wasting primos for a boost only for Ayaka.
Go back play dendro leave cryo alone if you don't like it. Ayaka is still meta and Shenhe buffs NA, CA, PA,Skill and Burst every cryo user also catalyst one :) Good you mention cryo archon she is comming but sooner hydro archon ll stronger freeze team also pyro archon ll be a good add for cryo teams :)
seriously, wtf she going to do when Ayaka's meta is over? She only can buff Ayaka. The Cryo Archon is 100% catalyst that's why MHY always delay Signora, turn another cryo to another weap. But Shenhe can't buff catalyst!
Your question can be changed to "More damage or more reliable burst?" Answer is depends. High Ref Wave breaker > Missive for more damage. Favonius you use if you really need to use it in order for her to constantly Burst off cooldown + have a more supportive role
Is Wavebreaker's Fin, Missive Windspear or Favonious Lance better for Shenhe?
The Missive Windspear should be added to the recommended weapons list
comparing her to Ganyu is just blatant st*pidity, Shenhe is a full time support while Ganyu while being versatile is meant to be a dps in melt team

You can if you accidentally push the button on a ten pull when you are on the Banner! I did it and pulled Shenhe by accident!!!! I had been saving for Ganyu! Luckily I had enough luck and got a very early Diluc and then Ganyu soon after!

Isn't she also good with the lithic spear especially with ganyu
