Found in The Last Survivor of Tenochzitoc Quest
The Bakunawa is found within The Last Survivor of Tenochzitoc world quest. Players need to progress the quest and head to the Mare Jivari to encounter this boss.

Head to Concealed Land of Enigmas
You can only access the Bakunawa through the Concealed Land of Enigmas, which you'll go to during The Last Survivor of Tenochtzitoc quest. When you arrive, you must touch the blue implement which will transport you to a throne room.
Interact with the Throne
Look for the largest throne located at the center of the room and touch it. This will teleport you to Mare Jivari, a land filled with multiple rifts. The Bakunawa is inside the largest rift in the area, so look for it and go inside. Be sure to be prepared before fighting this boss!
Respawn After 72 Hours
After defeating the Bakunawa in the The Last Survivor of Tenochzitoc world quest, it will respawn after 72 hours.
To challenge it again, simply return to the cave behind the waterfall and interact with the woven scroll to enter the council room. Once inside, interact with the throne in the center. When you defeat the Bakunawa again, it will drop Someone's Tattered Notes (II).
How to Defeat the Bakunawa
Parry All Attacks With the Calamity of Eshu
All of its attacks, whether its the huge punch, or when its unleashing huge orbs, can be parried using the Calamity of Eshu. This parry has a cooldown of 2 seconds and the shield lasts shorter than that so timing is crucial.
Sever Its Arms
After parrying the Bakunawa's arm sweeping attack, it will be stunned. A portal that Citlali made will open nearby. Enter this portal and use the power of Calamity of Eshu to sever its left arm.
The fight will then continue with the Bakunawa's same Anemo and Cryo attack pattern. Repeat the process to sever its right arm as well.
Aim Soulshard Rain at Bakunawa
Once you sever both of its arms, you can continue parrying all of its attacks with Calamity Eshu. This time it will attack with a rain of ice shards and geo waves from either of its feet.
Eventually, the Bakunawa will charge up to unleash a terrifying cryo attack. Combat this by tapping the button to change your elemental skill with Eshu's Soulshard Rain. Hold down this elemental skill button to charge up the attack and aim it at the Bakunawa's glowing center. Once fully charged, release the button to interrupt its attacks.
Hit its Head
Citlati will open another passage which should help you aim for Bakunawa's head. Use the power of the Calamity of Eshu to end it once and for all.
