The Great Mountain Survey is a World Quest in Genshin Impact. Learn how to unlock this Quest and where it is found, as well as its rewards and a full walkthrough for completing the Quest.

This quest will be unlocked once you have downloaded and launched the 1.2 Update. After launching the game, you can go to Entombed City - Outskirts and start the quest.
The Environmentalist Esther and the expedition team with her were set upon by monsters while performing a mountain survey, with the larger part of her survey beacons being lost in the process. She is currently looking for someone who can get them back for her…

Talk to Esther to beign the quest. She is located near the waypoint North of Wyrmrest Valley. |

Go to the waypoint near Starglow Cavern. From there, you can glide down and use Pyro to uncover the first beacon. |

The second survey beacon is located just near the first one. |

Turn around and go up the rock to find the third survey beacon |

The fourth survey beacon is located inside peculiar ice. You need to defeat a Fatui Cryo Cicin Mage in order to use the Scarlet Quartz and get the beacon. |

After retrieving the survey beacons, return to Esther for your next task. |

Your next task is to place survey beacons on elevated locations. Always look for the highest point in each designated area. |

One of the locations is on top of an arch, which can be tricky to spot at first. |

One of the locations is one the highest point of the rock, climb up and keep yourself warm along the way! |

Another placement location is on top of a very high rock. Always look for sides where you can climb and you can reach this safely. |

After placing all of the survey beacons, return to Esther to receive your reward |
While you can avoid most of the enemies when retrieving the first set of survey beacons, you would need to beat the Fatui Cryo Cicin Mage to use the Scarlet Quartz and retireve the fourth beacon.

I'm at a high AR but basically a beginner at RPG games.
My current team is xiangling, keqing, ganyu, and qiqi/traveler/barbara switching between if theres healing needed. I'm thinking of hu tao/klee/mona joining the team, but what party set up would be good?
(Personally don't want to take keqing out because I love overload hehe)
Also, are there characters that don't work together well?
