Rare Candy can also be used on Fossils, so you can evolve fossil evolutions like Rampardos as early as the second turn.
Best Rampardos Decks and Card List
Use on Stage 2 Pokemon with 2 or Less Energy
Prioritize Stage 2 Pokemon that need only 2 Energy or Less so that they can attack as soon as they're up. You can take your opponents by surprise if you are able to evolve your Pokemon by the second turn using Rare Candy.

Used in Most Stage 2 Decks
Rare Candy buffs Stage 2 decks by skipping Stage 1 evolutions, instantly evolving a Basic Pokemon into a Stage 2 Pokemon. Stage 2 decks must run Rare Candy because its ability to enable Stage 2s quickly is too valuable. This makes Rare Candy an essential inclusion in most decks.
