Disruption | Single Point Attacker | Description |
---|---|---|
Frosmoth | Tentacruel |
・This deck prioritizes disruption over offense, applying Poison or Sleep. ・Sleep disruption can be hard to deal with if your opponent is unlucky with Coin Flips. |
Best Starting Hand |
---|
Having Snom and Tentacool early allows you to start applying status effects ASAP, disrupting your opponent's setup as early as possible.
Red Card and Professor's Research should be used to help you with your own setup, with the former preventing your opponent from snowballing after using Poke Balls and their own Professor's Research, while Professor's Research allows you to thin your deck and try to get Tentacruel faster.

Poison Sleep Combo | ||

Use Tentacruel's Poison Tentacles to apply Poison, then switch into Frosmoth next turn to put the poisoned pokemon to sleep.
You can use X Speed to conserve energy, allowing you to use up less turns stacking energy again.

Fire Decks |
・Water Decks naturally match up favorably against Fire decks. ・+20 damage is meaningful, since the status effect attacks deal lower damage. |

Pikachu ex Decks |
・ Pokemon in the deck are all weak to Lightning. ・ Difficult counterplay to disadvantageous damage trades. |
Frosmoth and Tentacruel serve as the deck's disruptors, applying Sleep and Poison respectively. Sleep is a very disruptive status condition, but also relies on the opponent's unlucky sleep flips.
Successfully stacking both Sleep and Poison on the active Pokemon can give you a victory without you having to do anything

This list is harder to build, with a similar Pokemon and Trainer lineup, with the difference being Articuno ex in place of Tentacruel.
Instead of dealing damage with Poison and Sleep, Articuno ex deals more damage, but can be harder to setup early.
