Disruption Main Attacker Description
Pokemon TCG Pocket - A1 093 FrosmothFrosmoth Pokemon TCG Pocket - A1 084 Articuno exArticuno ex ・This deck prioritizes disruption over offense, but can switch when necessary.

Best Starting Hand

Best Starting Hand
Pokemon TCG Pocket- Articuno ex(A1 084) Pokemon TCG Pocket- Snom(A1 092) Pokemon TCG Pocket- Frosmoth(A1 093) Pokemon TCG Pocket- Misty(A1 220) Pokemon TCG Pocket- Professor

Articuno ex and Misty are powerful cards to have in your starting hand and can win you the game should you be lucky enough. Snom is an okay starter, and should be benched with caution and only when there's another Pokemon with it or if you have a Frosmoth next turn, so that it isn't in danger of getting gusted out by Sabrina.

Other Good Starting Cards

Recommended Starting Hand

Prioritize finding another Basic Pokemon if you start with Snom, as its tiny 50 HP won't survive too many attacks early in the game. Use Poke Ball and Professor's Research to dig for the Pokemon you need, and use Misty when you can do it safely.

A1 093

Use Frosmoth's Powder Snow to put opponents to sleep while you set up an Articuno ex on the Bench. Misty can help make the set up easier but is reliant on lucky flips to succeed.

Strategy 2: Articuno ex Offense

A1 084

Use Misty on Articuno ex and sweep if you can set up quickly. Repeatedly use Blizzard until you get all three points! This strategy can also be used when building a deck around Articuno ex by itself.

Frosmoth and Articuno ex Deck Best and Worst Matchups

Best Matchups

Deck Commentary

Fire Decks
Type: Fire

・Water Decks naturally match up favorably against Fire decks.
・+20 damage is meaningful, even if it's just from Staryu's Smack hitting for 40

Worst Matchups

Deck Commentary

Pikachu ex Decks
Type: Lightning

・ Pokemon in the deck are all weak to Lightning.
・ Difficult counterplay to disadvantageous damage trades.

Overall Consistency

Articuno ex serves as the deck's primary source of damage, with Frosmoth there to serve as backup should you fail to set up Articuno ex quickly enough. Sleep is a very disruptive status condition, but also relies on the opponent's unlucky sleep flips.

The presence of Misty in the deck also contributes a great deal to the deck's strength, but is still reliant on lucky flips.
