To unlock this quest, you have to complete both the main Event Quest, The Origin of the Lantern, and the first Lantern Rite Tales quest, City of Chores. Some quests are also time-locked, so check back once the event progresses!

Lantern of the Wayfarer

While most people from Liyue are enjoying the Lantern Rite, guard for hire Huangshan is currently in a bit of a fix.

Lantern of the Wayfarer Objectives

Walkthrough

	Objectives
1	Go to the quest marker in Wangshu Inn and talk to Huangshang in the dining area below. She will be sitting at a table, so she might be a little hard to find!
2	Go to the quest marker west of Mt. Tianheng and Liyue Harbor to talk to Huangshang at the storage goods location.
3	Escort the Transport Balloon by following it to its destination. Destroy obstacles in its path and defeat enemies that attack it to protect it. Keep an eye on its health bar because it takes damage easily!
4	Once the Transport Balloon has reached its destination, talk to Francis. He will be on the bridge very close to the Transport Balloon destination.
5	Go to the marked location near Liyue Harbor to talk to Huangshang.
6	If you don't have a Xiao Lantern yet, exit the dialogue and craft one at a crafting table then come back to Huangshang. If you already have a Xiao Lantern, give it to Huangshuang to complete the quest.

Huangshang will be sitting at a table

It might be a little hard to find Huangshang because she will be sitting at a table with no quest marker above her head. Look through the people sitting at tables in Wangshu Inn until you see her name pop up.

Transport Balloon Walkthrough

Destroy the wooden obstacles

Be sure to burn the wooden obstacles as soon as you can so the Transport Balloon can make its way through quickly.

Treasure Hoarders will appear behind the balloon

After you destroy the first wooden obstacles, Treasure Hoarders will spawn behind you. Fight them to distract them long enough for the Transport Balloon to get far away.

Once the Transport Balloon is far enough, the Treasure Hoarders won't follow it..

Stop the air current

Ride the air current up and glide to the Anemo Samachurl to defeat it and stop the air current. Be sure to defeat the Anemo Samachurl first so the air current stops and the Transport Balloon can go through.

Distant Hilichurl Shooters will damage the balloon if you don't stop the air current immediately.

Destroy the obstacle again

Before fighting the monsters, make sure you destroy the obstacle to pass through.
