To unlock this quest, you have to complete both the main Event Quest, The Origin of the Lantern, and the first Lantern Rite Tales quest, City of Chores. Some quests are also time-locked, so check back once the event progresses!
This quest can be found under the Lantern Rite Tales part of the event where you have to complete requests all over Liyue Harbor to increase your Festive Fever level.

Bubu Pharmacy's Herbalist Gui is racking his brains about something.

| 1 |  Go to Bubu Pharmacy and talk to Herbalist Gui to begin the request. You will have to go to the marked location and go up the stairs to get to Bubu Pharmacy. |
| 2 |  Go to the marked location and talk to Zhihua and Guanhai to deliver the medicine to them. |
| 3 |  Go back to Bubu Pharmacy and talk to report to Herbalist Gui. He will ask for a Xiao Lantern. |
| 4 |  If you already have a Xiao Lantern, give it to Herbalist Gui. If you don't have any Xiao Lanterns on hand, go to the nearest crafting bench and make one to give to him. |
| 5 |  Wait until the followning night by adjusting the time in Genshin Impact to nighttime of the next day (20:00-24:00). |
| 6 |  Go to the marked location and look for Herbalist Gui, who will be standing by the cliff. Talk to Herbalist Gui and release the Xiao Lantern with him to complete the quest. |

The quest won't resume if you fast forward to nighttime of the same day. You might have to adjust the time two times to reach 20:00 - 24:00 of the next night.
