To unlock this quest, you have to complete both the main Event Quest, The Origin of the Lantern, and the first Lantern Rite Tales quest, City of Chores. Some quests are also time-locked, so check back once the event progresses!
This quest can be found under the Lantern Rite Tales part of the event where you have to complete requests all over Liyue Harbor to increase your Festive Fever level.

Go to the marked location and talk to Mengmeng to begin the request. |

Go to the marked location and look for Mengmeng and Yu. They will be on the porch of the house in the area. |

Climb up to the roof to hang the Xiao Lantern. You can boost yourself up with characters like Venti, Zhongli, Keqing, etc. You can also use the Geo Traveler if you don't have them. |

Find all the dirty areas (with glowing arrows pointing to them) and use anemo skills to clean it. You might have to use your anemo skills twice on one dirty area if it isn't clean yet. |

Go to the quest marker to find Mengmeng and Yu and eavesdrop on them. Finish the dialogue to complete the quest. |

I personally went for Barbara instead. DPS wise she ain't the best but her heals more than make up for it. Especially since they constantly apply Hydro to enemies around you, and you can spam Diluc's Skill for all your Vaporizing needs. So far, it's worked out just fine for me
