List of Contents
| Slurpuff Deck Variants | Strengths and Weaknesses |
|---|---|
Alcremie and Slurpuff Deck
[★ Best ★] |
Strengths:
• Sweets Relay and Sweets Overload get stronger over the course of multiple turns. • Uses Water Energy in order to make use of Irida's stronger healing. Weaknesses: • The Pokemon in this deck are not very bulky and they share a weakness to Metal. • May lack offensive power in the early to mid game. |
Rampardos and Slurpuff Deck
[★ New ★] |
Strengths:
• Slurpuff can consistently hit for 90 with Sweets Relay for only 2 Energy. • Rampardos's low-cost attack can OHKO most Pokemon and deal meaningful damage to Pokemon who can tank it. • All Pokemon in the deck are high HP single point Pokemon. Weaknesses: • Slurpuff needs two Energy to attack and has a huge three Retreat Cost. • The Skull Fossil relies on the Rare Candy item in order to evolve into Rampardos, since this deck does not have Cranidos. |

In this deck, Alcremie is best used in the late game. Try to set up Slurpuff first and build up your Sweets Relays. It is ideal to use Sweets Relay every turn, especially since the Basic Pokemon with this move only require one Energy.
Vanillish gives the deck another Pokemon that can use Sweets Relay, which will later on allow Alcremie to deal even more damage with Sweets Overload.
Despite being a primarily Psychic-type deck, all of the Pokemon moves in this deck only require Colorless Energy, allowing you to choose whichever type of Energy you want. The best Energy to have here is Water Energy, so that you can utilize Irida, the Trainer card that provides the most amount of healing only if you have Water Energy attached.

Slurpuff can hit for a consistent 90 damage with Sweets Relay, setting up 2HKOs for itself or its teammate Rampardos.
Use Rare Candy to evolve Skull Fossil into Rampardos, and attack with it when you're sure to get a KO.

Swirlix and Slurpuff both have the Sweets Relay Attack, which get a damage boost if you used Sweets Relay the previous turn. This lets Slurpuff hit for a consistent 90 damage for only two Energy as early as turn 2, which can set up 2HKOs on most ex Pokemon.

Once you've built up a good number of Sweets Relays, it's time to bring in Alcremie. Even getting only three Sweets Relay attacks off will allow Alcremie's Sweets Overload attack to deal 120 damage, which is enough to knock out a lot of threatening Pokemon.
Rampardos's Head Smash can do a solid 130 damage, which can KO ex Pokemon who have already taken Sweets Relay damage.

Slurpuff Decks are typically weak to Metal-type Pokemon. With a good Metal-type deck that doesn't require too much setup, you should be able to knock out Swirlix or its partners with minimal effort.
