Damage: 80+ Effect: If this Pokémon has damage on it, this attack does 60 more damage.

Incineroar ex's Scar-Charged Smash can do 140 damage if Incineroar ex is damaged. Combined with its high 180 HP, this makes it difficult for your opponent to KO Incineroar ex without triggering Scar-Charged Smash's damage increase.

Incineroar ex can Burn the Defending Pokemon

Incineroar ex's other Attack, Fire Fang, can inflict Burn on the Defending Pokemon. Inflicting a status effect can put a lot of pressure on your opponent to either switch their Active Pokemon out or use their resources early if they want to stay in the game.

Because it only costs 1 Energy to use this Attack, we can have Incineroar ex deal damage early even if Scar-Charged Smash is not ready.

Can Inflict Burn on Opponents It Cannot Damage

While it might not be able to do damage, Incineroar ex's Fire Fang can bypass the damage-nullifying effects of Pom-Pom Oricorio's Safeguard Ability by inflicting Burn.

Burn will do 20 damage for every turn until it is cured.
