What Are Encounter Points?
Alternative to Daily Commissions
Encounter Points is a new daily reward mechanic that allows players to claim commission rewards through exploration or events and exchange them for Primogems without doing the regular Daily Commissions.
You can collect Encounter Points every time you complete a quest, claim event rewards, open Treasure Chests, or collect Oculi.

How to Get Encounter Points
| Ways to Obtain Encounter Points | |

| 1 | Complete Archon Quests, Story Quests, Hangout Event, or World Quests. Exceptions: World Quest that begin Limited-Time Events, Event Afterword, City Reputation: Requests are not counted. |
| 2 | Collect Overworld or Limited-Time Event Collectibles such as the Oculi, Dragonspine's Crimson Agates, Chasm's Lumenspar, or Jubilant Feathers from Simulanka. |
| 3 | Open chests of any type. |
| 4 | Claiming the rewards from Event objectives. Note that simply completing such objectives won't immediately give you the Encounter Points. Only when you get the reward will it count. |
Types of Method Have Varying Encounter Points Given
For every completed objective, you will obtain varying amounts of Encounter Points depending on the type of task you have done! Points from quests specifically differ depending on the length and type, which means the longer or more complicated the quest is, the higher the Encounter Points you get.
For example, obtaining an oculi gives you a half of an Encounter Point, while completing one Archon Quest typically gives you the full points needed to complete one day of commissions.
How to Use Encounter Points
Exchange Points for Daily Commission Rewards
You can claim your Daily Commission rewards once you have obtained enough Encounter Points through the Handbook. A certain number of Encounter Points can be exchanged for the equivalent reward of a single Daily Commission.
Note that you still need to return to Katheryne in any regional guilds to claim the extra Commission Rewards after completing all four objectives.
Regular Commissions Can Be Done Simultaneously
It is also possible to do regular commissions and only claim the remaining Encounter Points should you wish so, but you can only claim the same number of rewards as you would get daily.
Initial Encounter Points Valid For 1 Day
Initial Encounter Points collected within the day (indicated by a gift icon in the handbook) are valid for that specific day, but excess points that overflowed will be counted towards the Long-Term Encounter Points.
