This deck requires careful planning for each of your turns. Try to use Banette to KO Pokemon slowly after trapping them in the Active Spot with no way to retreat.
Make use of Gengar ex and Giratina ex as late-game finishers who can KO low-HP Pokemon.

This deck focuses on using Team Rocket Grunt and Banette to floodgate your opponent and ruining their Energy economy. By forcing your opponent to focus on one Pokemon to funnel energy into, Alakazam can then attack that Pokemon with Psychic's increased damage.

Banette, while not able to deal lots of damage is able to trap Pokemon in the Active Spot if they don't have Energy attached. Careful use of Sabrina, Team Rocket Grunt, and Night Bind can help secure you the victory!

It is important that your Pokemon always have Energy to pay for Retreat costs in this matchup. Always aim to attach more Energy to your benched Pokemon to help them Retreat should they get trapped in the Active Spot. It is important to know that cards like Misty, Kiawe, and Charizard ex will not work under the effects of Banette's Night Bind.

Banette has a glaringly low 90 HP, making it easy to KO. Prepare an attacker in the Bench, while having enough Energy on your Active Pokemon to retreat at a later turn.
