You can get more Berries by shaking a tree multiple times. However, the more you shake it, the higher the possibility that Pokemon will fall from the tree and challenge you into a battle.

It would also mean that the chances of getting Berries will decrease.

Passho Berry Competitive Analysis

Holding a Passho Berry will halve any damage taken by the holder from super-effective Water-type attacks.

Ground, Rock, and Fire-type Pokemon should consider using this item as this will offer them a bit of resistance from hard-hitting Water-type attackers that use Water Spout or Hydro Pump as their weapons.

Do note that facing Pokemon with Unnerve and As One will render this Berry useless, so watch out for Pokemon with these Abilities!
