The first thing you have to do is get to Enkanomiya. Once you're there, a quest chain will automatically be unlocked.
Yachimatahiko's Trial can only be unlocked after completing the Entrance to Tokoyo and the The Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpent quests. Once you have the Bloodbranch Coral, go to The Serpent's Heart in Enkanomiya and look for a ''???'' ghost.

1 | Make sure you're in the Evernight State. If not, use the Day-Night Mechanism to switch to Evernight. |
2 | Climb up the ruins and look for a Triangular Mechanism. |
3 | Attack the active Triangular Mechanism to move the wall. |
4 | Go to the location of the Flame and touch it. |

1 | This one is available in either Whitenight or Evernight. It's just floating in the air! |
2 | Get to the highest location you can and glide from there. |
3 | Spam the interaction button to touch the Flame as soon as you come into contact with it! |

1 | Make sure you're in the Whitenight State. If not, use the Day-Night mechanism to switch to Whitenight. |
2 | The Triangular Mechanism in this location should now be active. Attack that to unlock the gate. |
3 | The Triangular Mechanism in the newly-unlocked room will be inactive. Change back to the Evernight state to activate it. |
4 | Attack the Triangular Mechanism inside the room to unlock another room nearby. |
5 | Go to the newly-unlocked room and touch the Flame! |

1 | This one's locked behind an Evernight Shield-Light. Switch to Whitenight to remove the barrier. |
2 | Once you're in the Whitenight state, just go to the location of the flame and touch it! |

Make sure you're in the Evernight State to activate the next step. We've marked the image above with day-night mechanism locations for you! |
2 | Go to the quest marker in ''The Narrows'' and look for a school of Ghostfish. |
3 | Jump and glide into the blue area of the school of Ghostfish. Remain steady until it takes you up the portal. |
4 | Once you've been teleported to the new location, talk to the spirit nearby. Activate the Teleport Waypoint after that. |
5 | Touch each of the Flames of High Gate located at the quest marker. You can click here for a fuller walkthrough for each one! You might have a bit of trouble getting to the next island, but just look for a ledge and glide to that. |
6 | After touching all four Flames, report back to Uda in a new location. Make sure you're in the Evernight state or else Uda won't appear! |
7 | Finish the cutscene to complete the quest. Move on to either ''Yachimatahime's Trial'' or ''Kunado's Trial'' to progress. If this is the last trial you needed, proceed to ''The Three Great Martial Trials.'' |
You actually don't get any rewards from this quest. You only get the rewards after you complete all challenges and finish The Three Great Martial Trials.
