When you find a Sunfire Phantasm, you will need to change the cycle to either Whitenight or Evernight, depending on what it is currently. Changing the cycle should make something appear that wasn't there before.

Sunfire Phanstasms are visual distortions you can find while adventuring around Enkanomiya. They usually indicate that there is something that can be found in that location when you change the cycle to either Whitenight or Evernight.
This feature was added in Version 2.4 of Genshin Impact along with Enkanomiya and other features.
