Best Cards Against Xingqiu

The Piercer Deck

Xingqiu's cards will be centered around his Elemental Burst and how easy it will be to trigger Hydro-related Elemental Reactions with it.

For starters, Vaporize will magnify Hu Tao's already high DMG output. Xiao triggering Swirl is also bad news, since it will hit all of your cards and spread Hydro around for Hu Tao's culling activities.

Since Xingqiu will be able to use his Elemental Burst the very first chance he gets, the best thing around his strategy is to get rid of Hu Tao and Xiao as quickly as possible while swapping around to avoid unwanted Elemental Reactions.

Strategy and Rotation

Pierce Right Through!

The main thing about the deck above is one thing and one thing only: Piercing DMG, which targets all opponents at once. With the set-up of this deck, Piercing DMG can be initiated in two ways.

Superconduct will be one of your best bets in taking Xingqiu down quickly and seamlessly. The second way is through Ganyu's Charged ATK. With Shenhe's Elemental Burst active, her Cryo DMG will also be increased, giving you more power over Xingqiu.

Eyes on Hu Tao and Xiao

Xingqiu's main role in this battle is to provide Hydro support to the two main damage dealers in the deck: Hu Tao and Xiao. Hence, it will be best to deal with both of them first.

Recommended Rotation

Have both Shenhe and the Electro Hypostasis use their Elemental Burst to set their summons up for end-phase Superconduct reactions. You might have to spend 2 turns to do this, but it's not going to be a big deal.

Your main damage dealer here will be Ganyu. Her Charged ATK, paired with Shenhe's Burst, will be able to deliver an insane amount of DMG to all of Xingqiu's cards. Keep piercing through Xingqiu's deck, and this battle will be over before you know it.

Serious Showdown Strategy

Stop Elemental Reactions

Xingqiu is highly dangerous in Serious Showdown difficulty. He will make sure to maximize Elemental Reactions to take down your party relentlessly.

You can hold back the reactions by swapping the Electro Hypostasis out with Mona for a Frozen deck and mess Xingqiu's rotations up, giving you ample time to prepare for his next attacks and triggering Elemental Reactions of your own.

In Part 2 of Zero Hour Invokation, you will be up against Hong'yu, one of the many pen names of Xingqiu.

His deck has 2 heavy hitting characters, namely, Hu Tao and Xiao. With Xingqiu's Elemental Burst active, Hu Tao can deal increased DMG with Vaporize, and Xiao can trigger Swirl to hit all of your cards. Vigilance will be of great importance.

Part 2 Location

Part 2 of all Event activities, including Zero Hour Invokation, is located in Liyue. They are on one of the docks in Liyue Harbor's northern wharf.

Special Rules

Rule	Description
Energy Supply	At the start of the first Action Phase, both players will get 2 charges of Energy for all Character Cards.
All Omni Element Dice	Neither player will have to roll for Elemental Dice in the Roll Phase. Instead, the rolls will be substituted by 8 Omni Element Dice.
