Elemental Dice is a resource used to play Card abilities during a Genius Invokation TCG match in Genshin Impact. See how to use an Elemental Dice, how to reroll, and the basics of all types of die in this guide!
List of Contents
At the beginning of every round, the players will each roll eight Elemental Die with random results. Once it lands, it will give you the same number of die with each having an attached element based on the side it faces.
If you're not satisfied with the Elemental Die you've obtained, you can choose to reroll any number of dice to get a different colored one! This rolling and rerolling phase can only be done once per phase.
There are 8 types of elements you can get from the Roll Phase. Seven of them are the basic 7 elements we know and love from the base game. You will need the same type of Elemental Dice to use your cards and their abilities!
Aside from the 7 Elements, you can also get the Omni Element dice. This dice is regarded as an all-rounder type, meaning that you can use any abilities or deploy any cards regardless of its required Element.
Tip: Make sure to save Omni Elemental die as you'll need them to activate expensive or powerful abilities!
You can only deploy Character or some Action Card abilities by paying the same number of colored dice from your inventory. You can also use Omni Element Dice if you are missing one or more.
For example, Diluc Card's Elemental Skill requires three Pyro die, so you will need to spend the same number or a combination of Pyro and Omni Elemental die.
Everything to Know About Genshin TCG
Some cards can also cost die that is unaligned or matching. An ability that costs an unaligned or black dice can use any colored dice, while matching or white dice requires you to use a number of die of the same elements.
For example, a card that requires 2 Unaligned Die (Black) can use a Pyro and Cryo die, while 2 Matching (White) can only use Pyro and another Pyro, or Cryo and another Cryo.
If you need another Elemental Dice, you can choose to sacrifice one of your Action Cards in hand and convert one dice into the element of your Active Character. This is called Elemental Tuning. You can do this by dragging your card to the right side of the screen.
