Players need to complete the What the Skies Conceal, the Water Reveals story quest from the Star of Destiny phase of the Unreconciled Stars Event.
Unreconciled Stars Event Guide
The goal of the challenge is to fill up the progress bar with Celestial Energy, which is obtained by defeating the enemies that appear, in a set amount of time. You can only carry a limited amount of Celestian Energy. When you want to deposit the energy and fill the progress bar, you will need to go to the submission zone and tap the submit button.
The submission process will take some time and can be interrupted by getting hit. If you are interrupted while submitting your Celestial Energy, you can lose all the energy that you were carrying, so be sure to defeat or restrict the movement of surrounding enemies first.
This event challenge can be played Co-op with friends, or with random players through online matchmaking. If you do not wish to play in a team, you can also play this challenge solo!
During the challenge, certain characters can get a random buff that will help you to complete the challenge. These buffs are the Fecund Starburst and Heroic Starburst.
Fecund Starburst | The Fecund Starburst will give this character and all nearby characters the Fecundity buff. This will increase the efficiency of Celestial Energy submission. |
---|---|
Heroic Starburst | The Heroic Starburst will intermittently increase the ATK of this character and all nearby characters. |
At the start of the challenge, one of the three Astral Anomalies will occur at random: Orbital Shift, Dark Omen, or Inauspicious Star.
Each of these Anomalies will make the Challenge slightly harder to complete, so be sure to keep the Anomaly in mind when playing and watch out for its effects.
Orbital Shift | Changes the location at which to submit celestial energy. |
---|---|
Dark Omen | The monsters that appear during the challenge will be more violent. |
Inauspicious Star | Submitting celestial energy is more risky, because being interrupted will cause you to lose all energy. |
Advantages of Co-op | ・Allies can protect players when they are submitting energy ・Teaming up shortens the time needed to defeat enemies ・Nearby allies can gain the boosts from Starbursts |
---|
The Fallen Star challenge is best completed in Co-op Mode. Whether it's defeating foes quickly or submitting energy without being attacked, having more players provides nothing but benefits for this Event. Although completion is possible in Single-player Mode, it will take much longer to clear, reducing the efficiency of completing the event multiple times and farming for rewards.
Best Strategies | ・Use Anemo characters to restrict enemies' movement ・Use Cryo characters to Freeze enemies |
---|
One of the main points of the Fallen Star Challenge is the requirement to send celestial energy acquired by defeating foes. Players have no choice but to stand still for several seconds, leaving them vulnerable to foes. If struck, all the celestial energy currently held will be lost.
Rainclouds in the area will inflict Wet on enemies, so Cryo characters who can inflict the Frozen status, while Anemo characters can inflict the Swirl status, both of which are a godsend for keeping enemies at bay while submitting energy.
Venti | Sucrose | Jean |
Traveler (Anemo) | Chongyun | Qiqi |
Characters with the Cryo and Anemo elements are particularly useful for their ability to bind enemies and allow for safe energy submission.
Tartaglia | Mona | Fischl |
Beidou | Ningguang | Chongyun |
Lisa | Noelle | Xiangling |
The characters listed about will receive a 60% boost to their damage dealt during the Unreconciled Stars Event for the Meteorite Strike Zone (Meteorite Remains Salvage) and Fallen Star challenges. Try to form your party to use these characters as primary attackers, ensuring you can deal as much damage as efficiently as possible.
Difficult Foes | ・Abyss Mage ▶︎Use Elemental Reactions to destroy their shields ・Mitachurl ▶︎Use Claymores and Pyro characters to destroy the shields |
---|
In each wave, enemies of different elements will appear. If your party is overly focused on a single element, you may have trouble dealing with the variety of foes, which can hurt your chances of completing the challenge within the time limit.
In particular, Abyss Mages and Mitachurls use shields, which can make the battle take much longer than it needs to when not dealth with appropriately. Having characters of each element will ensure you can use the appropriate Elemental Reaction to knock out the shields and take them down.
After completing the challenge, you will have to spend 40 Original Resin if you want to obtain the Fading Star's Essence and other rewards for completing the challenge. The possible rewards will vary depending on your World Level.
Rewards | ||
---|---|---|
Adventure EXP | Companionship EXP | Fading Star's Essence |
Required Resin | 280 (1.75 days' worth) |
---|
In order to obtain Fischl, you'll need to complete the Prinzessin's Pact missions, one of the requirements of which is to complete the Fallen Star Challenge 7 times.
Keep in mind that completing this challenge multiple times can wear down your Resin quickly, so be sure to save up if you want to get Fischl quickly!
