You won't need to sell any of the default Mechanici for this setup.
While it is not necessary for this stage, it's good to have characters that can stop enemies in their tracks. Anemo characters with crowd control abilities can keep the small mobs in place.
Zhongli and the Geo Traveler's Elemental Skill can get rid of the Stonehide Lawachurl's armor as well as slow down the other, larger enemies with some well-placed pillars!

Setup for advanced stage sucks. I did as recommended, but enemies just ran through. Also the points are not enough to buy all the sticks. How chose if you can't afford all of them?

Advanced stage set up works well, gotta drop at the right time and then run down while the bridge is out so the enemies don't regen HP. In the first stage, there isn't enough points for the sticks they recommend. I just left off 1 of the 10 point ones and it worked still.
