can i use this to thoma just for the ER? or should i stick with fav lance?

Sort of. Xiao doesn't benefit from the passive when using his burst since it doesn't specify plunging attacks. NAs on Xaio are a DPS loss since you don't really want to keep in on field off burst. It would be best to go through your rotation again.
