Magma Storm Competitive Analysis

Magma Storm is a trapping move and is the signature move of Heatran. In addition to the initial damage, this move deals 1/8th of the target's max HP and the end of each turn for four to five turns.

This move is boosted by items such as Grip Claw which guarantees that the move will last for five turns. And Binding Band which increases the damage to 1/6th of the target's max HP.

Magma Storm is more useful in Singles play. In Doubles, we suggest using Lava Plume instead.
