Stage 1 - Stirred Against the Storm

Stirred Against the Storm
Location	Forest of Blessings

Serving as the tutorial for the mini-game, the stage will spawn multiple yellow and blue balloon targets. Hit yellow targets with normal Speedy Shots, and hold, charge, and release your second button to destroy blue targets with the Charged Shots.

Two big Slimy Supremes also spawn in this stage. Use you normal Speedy Shots about 6 times to destroy these bulloons and get 200 points each!

Stage 2 - Surging With the Wind

Location	Constellation Metropole

Stage 2 unlocks in the Constellation Metropole area during the second part of the Summertide Scales and Tales Quest.

This stage introduces the shot enhancements, which takes the form of a green circle. Picking up this buff will make your Speedy Shots shoot even faster with no cost to energy. Use this buff to shoot balloons in quick succession!

A red explosive balloon also debuts in this stage, and using your shots will pop nearby targets, so prioritize shooting this down first!

Stage 3 - Resolve Unbowed by Error

Resolve Unbowed by Error
Location	Broken Sea

Stage 3 unlocks in the Broken Sea area during the last part of the Summertide Scales and Tales Quest.

When dealing with multiple Blue Balloons, wait for them to line up first before you shoot your Charged Shots, then fire to destroy them all at once.

At the final stretch, one Slimy Supreme will spawn outside your shooting borders. It will eventually slide to the middle, which will allow you to shoot it.

How to Play Boreal Flurry

Shoot Balloons and Collect Points

The main goal in this event is to shoot down as much balloons as you can while flying across the area to get points.

These balloon targets spawn as you glide, and the game locks-on ballons for you to shoot. Crashing to a balloon will deduct your points by 50.

Use Normal and Charged Shots

While flying, you gain access to two attacks: Speedy Shot and Charged Shot, occupying your primary buttons.

Yellow Balloons can be shot down by one Speedy Shot. You can hold the Speedy Shot button to fire continuously. However, Blue Balloons can only be shot down by a Charged Shot.. Red Balloons can be popped by a Speedy Shot, which will destroy any adjacent balloons.

Charged Shot requires you to hold the second button, then releasing to fire a laser that can pierce through yellow balloons and most importantly, destroy the blue balloons.

Use Normal Shots to Big Slimes

Slimy Supremes can also spawn, which requires about 6 hits of Speedy Shots to pop it. Note that Charged Shots can count, but given the number of shots you need to land, using the normal shots is more recommended.

Faster Shots through Shot Enhancements

There will be pickable Shot Enhancements along the currents, forming a green circle which you can pass through. When picked-up, it will increase the rate of fire of your Speedy Shots, which makes your attacks faster and more reliable. This will also not consume energy while in this state. This buff will only appear from Stage 2.

After meeting Nilou during Act 1 of Summertide Scales and Tales quest, the Boreal Flurry and Figurine Fabrication sub-events unlocks.
