The Bunkoku Enigma limited-time event quest that will only be playable during the Three Realms Gateway Offering event. The event lasts until the end of Version 2.5, so you have until March 30, 2022 to finish it!

How to Unlock The Bunkoku Enigma

The Bunkoku Enigma can be unlocked once you complete the first quest of the event, Three Realms Gateway Offering: The Eve. Afterwards, talk to Yabe near the already opened Teleport Waypoint in Dainichi Mikoshi!

Upgrade the Bokuso Box

To complete this quest with ease, you need to upgrade your Bokuso Box as much as possible. However, you can still do the quest without doing so, you just need to be quick as you make your way through different corrosion intensity areas and manage the gadget's Energy well!

How to Place the Stone Slates Back in Their Proper Places

Once all 8 Damaged Stone Slates have been collected, you will need to insert them into the secret room and solve a sliding puzzle using the slates.

Step on the following numbers and select the "Move Slates" option to solve the puzzle: 4 > 7 > 8 > 5 > 6 > 9 > 8 > 5 > 6 > 9 > 8 > 5

The top row of numbers (1, 2, and 3) represent the slates farthest from the entrance.

If you make a mistake, you can use the mechanism near the exit to reset the slate positions.

How to Retrieve the Stone Slates in Each Area

	Damaged Stone Slate Locations
1	The first one is given to you by Yabe when you first start the quest.
2	Inside the locked library room in the Narrows / Corrosion Intensity 15 area. Just to the right when you first enter.
3	Inside the locked library room in the Narrows / Corrosion Intensity 15 area. On the left corner of the room.
4	Inside the locked library room in the Narrows / Corrosion Intensity 15 area. On the floor of the right side of the second floor.
5	Found after completing the mirror puzzle in the Evernight Temple / Corrosion Intensity 60 area. Right behind the chest in the middle of the room.
6	Found after completing the mirror puzzle in the Evernight Temple / Corrosion Intensity 60 area. On the floor to the left of the room with the chest.
7	In the ruins just north of the teleport waypoint in The Serpent's Heart / Corrosion Intensity 105 area. After dropping down from the ceiling, it should be to the left on a pedestal.
8	In the ruins just north of the teleport waypoint in The Serpent's Heart / Corrosion Intensity 105 area. Can be found right across the 7th Damaged Stone Slate.

Activate the 3 Electro Monuments

In order to open the library in The Narrows area, you will need to activate the 3 Electro Monuments by the door. When you first arrive only 1 will be unlocked, the other 2 monuments will need you to complete the nearby challenge first in order to unlock it.

Once they're unlocked, just activate them by using an Electro attack or skill to open the door. There are 3 Damaged Stone Slates found inside.

Evernight Temple / Corrosion Intensity 60 Damaged Stone Slate Puzzle

Solve the Mirror Puzzles to open the room

In order to get to the room with the Damaged Stone Slates, you will need to solve 2 different ice and water mirror puzzles. The first one unlocks the gate on the ground, while the second one unlocks the door to the Damaged Stone Slates.

The numbers are oriented with the top row (1, 2, and 3) being the farthest from the entrance.

In order to open the gate on the ground, you will need to activate the 2 Light Ray Receivers nearby.

Use Cryo attacks or skills to change all the mirrors into Ice Mirrors then just rotate the 2 mirrors on either side to complete the route.

The Serpent's Heart / Corrosion Intensity 105 Damaged Stone Slate

There's no puzzle or requirement to get the Damaged Stone Slate in this area. Just head north from the nearby teleport waypoint and jump through the ceiling. Once in the room, the 2 remaining Damaged Stone Slates can be collected easily.

The Bunkoku Enigma Objectives

The Bunkoku Enigma Walkthrough

	Objectives
1	Talk to Yabe near the Teleport Waypoint in Dainichi Mikoshi.
2	Enter the hole in the wall in the direction that Yabe pointed out and pull the lever found inside the room.
3	Exit the room and climb the wall outside to find a new room open up.
4	Talk to Yabe to update your map with the locations of the other 7 Damaged Stone Slates. There are 3 areas where the 7 Damaged Stone Slates can be found.
5	Once you have all of the Damaged Stone Slates, head back to the secret room and insert them to the space on the floor.
6	Move the stone slates to solve the sliding puzzle.
7	Once the sliding puzzle is solved, activate the mechanism and go into the room underneath.
8	Talk to Koyanagi and take the Mysterious Stone Slate in the room. You can then use the Enknaomiya Phase Gate to head back upstairs.
9	Deactivate the mechanism, insert the Mysterious Stone Slate, then reactivate the mechanism.
10	Head into the room underneath again and defeat the Mysterious Samurai.
11	Open the Luxurious Chest and talk to Koyanagi again.
12	Head back upstairs or use the teleport waypoint, then talk to Yabe again to complete the quest.
