It’s not very good at precision shooting. When attacking, it just fires its 31 cannons over and over and over. |
Water fired from this Pokémon’s central main cannon has enough power to blast a hole into a mountain. |

When Gigantamax Venusaur uses its G-Max Move, G-Max Cannonade, it will both deal damage on impact, and continue to deal damage for four turns to any Pokemon that isn't Water-type.
Unlike its previous form in Generation 1, Gigantamax Blastoise has more water cannons around its shell, forming a volcano-like top. The shell also changed to a red-colored underside and has a red fumes at the top.

Gigantamax Blastoise only appears in the Isle of Armor which is included in the Expansion Pass DLC for Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Near the beginning of your adventure on The Isle of Armor, you'll be able to choose between a Bulbasaur or a Squirtle. If you choose Squirtle, you can evolve it into a Blastoise, and what's more, it automatically starts out with Gigantamax potential! The Squirtle obtained in this way will have its standard Ability Torrent and three perfect IVs.
If you want to Gigantamax a different Blastoise, you'll need to collect three Max Mushrooms to make Max Soup for it. This feature is only available in The Isle of Armor DLC.
When downloading the mobile version of Pokemon HOME for the first time, you can receive a Hidden Ability Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle as a free gift. You can evolve the Squirtle obtained in this way to get a Blastoise with its Hidden Ability, Rain Dish! Using Max Soup on this Squirtle, or a Squirtle bred from it, is the easiest way to get a Gigantamax Rain Dish Blastoise.
