How to Win Max Raid Battles
Tanga Berry will reduce the damage taken from a super-effective Bug-type move by half. This item will see much use from Grass, Psychic, and Dark-type Pokemon who are weak against the skittery Bug-type Pokemon.
Although using Bug-type moves are fairly uncommon in battling, some moves like U-turn or Bug Buzz are used as coverage moves on some Pokemon, which makes Tanga Berry a viable held item in case you need protection from unexpected Bug-type moves.
Do note that facing Pokemon with Unnerve and As One will render this Berry useless, so watch out for Pokemon with these Abilities!
Shiftry, Celebi, Calyrex, Zarude have 4x weakness to Bug-type moves due to their typing. A Tanga Berry will help them survive at least one Bug-type attack.
Tanga Berry can be used as an ingredient when cooking Curries at the Campsite! Using Tanga Berry in your Curry will give it a Spicy and Sour flavor.
You can also use Tanga Berries to produce an item at the Cram-O-Matic! The product you will get will depend on what items you combine the Berry with.
