Gravity is a Psychic-type move that affects the field and all Pokemon out in the battle.
Using Gravity will bring Flying-type Pokemon, or those with the Levitate Ability, or those holding an Air Balloon back to the ground for five turns. This will allow them to be hit with Ground-type moves, be affected by entry hazards like Toxic Spikes, or and be affected by the effects of whatever terrain is present on the field.
Moves like Fly or Bounce, or those that involve jumping like Flying Press or High Jump Kick cannot be used while the effects of Gravity is present in the field.
If Gravity is used while a Pokemon is in the semi-vulnerable phase of Fly or Bounce, they will be dropped back to the ground and the move will be cancelled.
Those under the effects of Magnet Rise will also be brought down.
Moves are more accurate when Gravity is in effect, therefore making some low accuracy moves like Fire Blast or Stone Edge more likely to hit its target.
Additionally, Flapple's signature move Grav Apple will be more powerful when used with Gravity. Its base power will be boosted from 80 to 120.
Using Gravity with Pokemon that can use Ground-type moves is a great way of using Gravity's potential.
The move will primarily let Flying-type Pokemon be vulnerable against super-effective Ground-type moves.
Gravity is only available by Default, Level Up, or via Egg Move.
