The Lotus Leaf and the Champion Walkthrough

Talk to the Excited Paper Frog

Genshin Impact The Lotus Leaf and the Champion Walkthrough - Talk to the Excited Paper Frog

After listening to Horellou commence the short break for the contest, talk to the Excited Paper Frog, and the Calm Paper Frog to pass time. You can start with whomever you want, but for this guide, we'll talk to the Excited Paper Frog First!

Practice with the Excited Paper Frog

Genshin Impact The Lotus Leaf and the Champion Walkthrough - Practice with the Excited Paper Frog

The Excited Paper Frog is located to the left of Horellou, just past that contest grounds. After talking to him, pratice with the Excited Paper Frog by guiding him towards the finish line of the Bouncing Contest!

How to Practice With the Excited Paper Frog

To practice with the Excited Paper Frog, simply tug the magic needle from its behind by pressing T, or by selecting the tug button on your screen. The jump distance will increase the further you walk away from the Frog, and it will face the same direction as your cursor.

With this in mind, simply tug to jump, and face the quest marker to complete the laps. There are two laps to before the finish line, so make sure to assist the Excited Frog properly!

Talk to the Calm Paper Frog

Afterwards, talk to the Excited Paper Frog once more, to complete his request. Then, talk to the Calm Paper Frog located nearby the huge orange lotus platform in Rainsong Pond. The Calm Frog will tell you about the crowd-favorite, Faurobert, and that he's practicing his jump before the contest!

Practice with the Calm Paper Frog

To practice with the Calm Paper Frog, interact with the purple platform to control the waterspouts. Use this mechanic to safely guide the lotus leaf across the course without touching any of the three spouts!

Watch the finals

Genshin Impact The Lotus Leaf and the Champion Walkthrough - Watch the finals

After helping the frogs practice, watch the finals with all the other frogs. Unfortunately, the undisputed favorite, Faurobert, misses his jump after three lotus leaves, effectively hailing Estampee the new champion!

Catch up with Faurobert

However, Estampee disputes the title, and requests for Faurobert to be given another chance of jumping for the contest. Being the crowd-favorite, Horellou obliged to the froggy's request, so catch up with Faurobert, who's currently watching the contest grounds perched from the waterfall structure in Rainsong Pond.

Catch up with Faurobert again

After talking to Faurobert and telling him about his second chance, he rejects the opportunity and hops away. Catch up with Faurobert again three times, until you find yourselves on top of a lotus leaf that suddenly moves forward.

Have the Lotus Leave Avoid the Waterspouts

Genshin Impact The Lotus Leaf and the Champion Walkthrough - Have the Lotus Leave Avoid the Waterspouts

With Faurobert steering the lotus leaf, avoid the Waterspouts by selecting the Lower the Waterspout! prompt on your screen. You only have six chances of being hit before the challenge fails, so make sure to be attentive!

Fortunately, halfway the challenge, Faurobert takes over the lotus completely, so there's no need to manually control the leaf. It's a free ride from there on! What a good froggy.

Talk to Horellou

Once Faurobert completes the lotus leaf course, talk to Horellou, and witness the good boy, Faurobert, be crowned as the champion of the bouncing contest!
