Power of Max Starfall

Max Starfall's Power, Category and PP are determined by its Base Move. Its Category and PP will match that of the Base Move, while the Power is determined according to the table below:

Pokemon That Learn Max Starfall

Max Starfall is usable by all Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon who know at least one Fairy-type damaging move. That move will be replaced with Max Starfall while the Pokemon is Dynamaxed.

In the case of Gigantamax Pokemon, they may not be able to learn this move if their Fairy-type damaging moves are instead replaced by their signature G-Max Move.

Competitive Analysis

Max Starfall has the secondary effect of turning the ground into Misty Terrain for five turns in which Pokemon cannot be affected by status conditions and grounded Dragon-type moves power are reduced by 50%.

This move can be useful against defensive or stall teams that rely on status conditions, or against Dragon-type teams in the current meta.

Max Starfall Locations

Max Starfall is only available via Fairy-type Moves when Dynamaxed or Gigantamaxed.
