Effect A gem with an ordinary essence. When held, it strenghens the power of a Normal-type move one time.

How to Get Normal Gem

You can get a Normal Gem along Route 9. Look for a sparkling item and press A.

Obtain from the Digging Duo

You have a chance to obtain Normal Gem from the Digging Duo located near the nursery in the Wild Area. Note that you can only get this item from the right brother, the one with more stamina.
How to Get Rare Items From the Digging Duo
However, you have to pay 500 Watts for them to start digging up random items for you, with the chance of receiving Normal Gem.

How to Farm Watts Quickly

How to Use Normal Gem

Normal Gem boosts a Normal-type attack's power by 30%, and is consumed after use. This item can be useful if you are planning to use a powerful Normal-type attack and deal as much damage as possible for one turn.

The main downside for this item is that you can only have a powered-up Normal attack for a single turn. If you want a consistent boost in damage, consider using Silk Scarf or either Choice Band or Choice Scarf
