Hondew Berry Effect and How to Get It - Pokemon Sword and Shield

Hondew Berry is one of the Berries in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Isle of Armor, and the Crown Tundra DLC. Read on to learn more about this item's effects, how to get it, and how to use it competitively.

Effect A Berry to be consumed by Pokemon. Using it on a Pokemon makes it more friendly but lower its base Sp.Atk.

Used to Lower Speed EVs

Using a Hondew Berry will reduce a Pokemon's Special Attack EVs by 10. This EV-lowering Berry is useful if you have accidentally allocated EV points on a Pokemon's Special Attack EVs or if you want to reset its EV stats completely.

Additionally, using a Hondew Berry will increase the friendship of the Pokemon it is used on!

You can get Hondew Berry by shaking Berry trees found in Wild Areas and Routes.

Pokemon May Also Fall From Trees

You can get more Berries by shaking a tree multiple times. However, the more you shake it, the higher the possibility that Pokemon will fall from the tree and challenge you into a battle.

It would also mean that the chances of getting Berries will decrease.
