Competitive Analysis

Rock Throw is a great coverage move that is effective against types that a certain Pokemon is not good against.

For example, Tyranitar is weak to Bug-types, but will be able to deal with them with Rock-type moves like Rock Throw.

Do note that there are stronger physical Rock-type moves for some Pokemon, such as Rock Slide and Stone Edge.

Rock Throw Locations

Rock Throw is only available by Default, Level Up, or via Egg Move.
