Competitive Analysis

Luster Purge is Latios' signature move. This move has a 50% chance of reducing a target's Special Defense stat.

Luster Purge may not hit as hard as other Psychic-type moves but it has one feat; it has the chance to lower its target's Special Defense. This is extremely useful to chip down the armor of specially defensive Pokemon.

Additionally, lowering an opponent's Special Defense stat makes way for Luster Purge to hit even harder as it is a special move!
