Dragon Ascent Competitive Analysis

Physical Attacker Rayquaza.png

Dragon Ascent is a strong move that is often ran on Rayquaza due to its high damage.

This move has been a staple on Rayquaza builds because it used to allow it to Mega Evolve. But, even with the removal of Megas this move still sees play due to the damage it offers.

Note that this move also lowers the user's Defense and Special Defense stat by one stage. Be careful when using it because the target can easily revenge kill if it survives.

Dragon Ascent is the signature move of Rayquaza, thus making it the only Pokemon that can learn the move.
