Close Combat Competitive Analysis

With a base power of 120, Close Combat is one of the strongest Fighting-type move available in the game. This move is often used as coverage by non-Fighting Pokemon as it can deal with common types such as Rock, Steel, and Dark.

The downside of this move is that it lowers the user's Defense and Special Defense by one stage each. This makes it so that you have to be careful when to use Close Combat.
