Competitive Analysis

Eruption is one of the strongest special Fire-type moves in the game, with a maximum of 150 Base Power when used by a Pokemon at full health. The move diminishes in power the lower the user's health is.

Torkoal is arguably the best user of the move due to its respectable Sp.Atk and STAB from the move. More often than not, Torkoal is used in Trick Room teams where the reversed move order ensures Torkoal can unleash maximum power Eruptions before normally faster opposing Pokemon.

Eruption Locations

Eruption has very limited distribution and can only be learned by Level Up.
