Competitive Analysis

Burn Up is one of the strongest special Fire-type moves with a 130 Base Power and 100% Accuracy. It also has a unique mechanic that Fire-types can take advantage of.

After using Burn Up, the move removes the user's Fire-typing. This has some uses; if Coalossal uses this move, it becomes a pure Rock-type Pokemon for the duration of the turn and thus lowering its susceptibility to Water-type moves.

Pure Fire-types Become Typeless

When a pure Fire-type Pokemon uses Burn Up, it becomes typeless for the duration of the turn. Typeless Pokemon deal and receive normal damage to all types.

Burn Up Locations

Burn Up is only available by Default or Level Up.
