How to Unlock Journey to Tsurumi Quest
Unlocked on Shadow of the Ancients Event
The Journey to Tsurumi quest is the starting World Quest for the Shadow of the Ancients event. After completing the quest, you will unlock Phase 1 of the event, as well as reward you with the Ayesha's Chaos Prospector gadget.

Complete A Flower Blooms in a Prison Archon Quest
To unlock this quest, you need to complete A Flower Blooms in a Prison sub-quest of The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia Archon Quest! You also need to be Adventure Rank 30 or above.

Journey to Tsurumi Objectives
- Talk to Katheryne
- Go to the designated location to investigate
- Report back to Katheryne
- Ask Hosseini some questions

| 1 |  Talk to Katheryne at Inazuma. |
| 2 |  Teleport to the southern reaches of Tsurumi Island, and go to the big empty arena. A Ruin Grader will be waiting for you there. |
| 3 |  Try to defeat the Strange Ruin Grader, but you will not be able to defeat it as it will regenerate. When it regenerates, Paimon will tell you to report back to Katheryne. |
| 4 |  Report back to Katheryne and tell her what has transpired in Tsurumi Island. |
| 5 |  Go to Ritou in Narukami Island to meet the Sumeru researcher, Hosseini. |
| 6 |  Talk with Hosseini to complete the quest and receive the Ayesha's Chaos Prospector gadget. This will also start the Shadow of the Ancients event. |

Going to Tsurumi Island
| How to Get to Tsurumi Island |

Recommended to Clear the Fog First
Because the quest will need you to go to the farthest area in Tsurumi Island, it is recommended to clear the fog first by doing the Through the Mists quest line. This is also in preparation for the later stages of the event.
Note that this questline can take days to finish, as the quests in this questline are time-locked between days.
Through the Mists Quest Guides
Teleport to the Waypoint
If you have already unlocked this Teleport Waypoint south of Tsurumi Island, simply go to this location and then drop down to the Strange Ruin Grader's location.
Ride Around the Island with the Waverider
You can also use the Waverider to go around Tsurumi Island and land on the southern beaches. A Waverider Waypoint can be found on the Statue of the Seven location east of Tsurumi Island.
Defeat the Strange Ruin Grader
You will not be able to defeat the Strange Ruin Grader as it will regenerate. However, you will still need to lower its HP to force it to go to its regenerative state and continue the quest.
Make sure to take out the weakpoints on its legs and eye to immobilize it. As it is also level 90, bring out your best DPS to easily defeat it.

Use Freeze with Kaeya and Barbara to stop it from moving, especially when it is doing the devastating spinning attacks. Use Amber's ranged attacks to hit the eye, and melee attacks with Kaeya and Xiangling to hit the weakpoints on its legs.
When it is down, use Kaeya and Xiangling's burst to Melt down the Ruin Grader until it regenerates.
