Starf Berry Competitive Analysis

Starf Berry is an uncommon and niche pinch berr due to the random stat raise it provides when consumed. It's often used in very specific movesets that allow the Pokemon to restore their berry either using an Ability or a move.

Starf Berry Holders

Pokemon that can learn the move Recycle, such as Snorlax, are good users of Starf Berry but requires a very specific setup. This involves using the move Substitute to get within the pinch berry's range to activate it, and then using Recycle to restore the Berry.

This setup is best used with Snorlax's Gluttony Ability since instead of consuming the berries at 50% of its max health, it will consume it at 25%. This allows it to get Starf Berry's boosts earlier as well as recover them faster with Recycle.
