Macho Brace Effect and How to Get It

Macho Brace is an EV-Training Item used to raise any EVs of a Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Isle of Armor, and the Crown Tundra DLC. Read on to learn more about this item's effects, how to get it, and how to use it when training competitive Pokemon.

Effect An item to be held by a Pokémon. This stiff, heavy brace helps Pokémon grow strong but cuts Speed in battle.

Doubles EVs Gained in Battle

Wild Pokemon give specific EV when defeated. Pokemon who hold Macho Brace will get double the EV for each wild Pokemon defeated.

Power Weight Power Weight An item to be held by a Pokémon. It reduces Speed but allows the holder's maximum HP to grow more after battling.
