How to Beat Melony

Raise a Fire or Fighting-type to around Lv. 45

Melony specializes in Ice-type Pokemon. Therefore, before taking on her Gym challenge, you should raise a Fire or Fighting-type Pokemon up to around Lv. 45. Both of these types will be super effective on her Pokemon, so having one of these on your team will make victory a sure thing. Her most powerful Pokemon is a Lv. 42 Lapras, so with a Lv. 45 Pokemon you should not have too much trouble winning.

Attack Eiscue with special attacks

Eiscue's ability Ice Face can nullify one physical attack. Special attacks will still work however, so if you want to avoid having your move cancelled out, go with a special attack instead.

Ready 3 Pokemon that can tank Dynamax attacks

If you are underleveled and struggling, prepare at last three Pokemon that can endure Dynamax Lapras's attacks. Use these Pokemon to stall for three turns, at which point this battle should become a sure victory.
