How to Beat Gordie

Raise a Water or Fighting-type Pokemon to at least Lv. 40

Gordie specializes in Rock-type Pokemon. Before challenging him, you should raise a Water or Fighting-type Pokemon up to Lv. 40. Both of these types will be super effective on his Pokemon (Grass-type are also super effective on Rock). He also has a level 42 Coalossal, so having your Pokemon close to level 45 will make this an easy victory.

Ready 3 Pokemon that can tank Dynamax attacks

If you are underleveled and struggling, prepare at last three Pokemon that can endure Dynamax Coalossal's attacks. Use these Pokemon to stall for three turns, at which point this battle should be a sure victory.
