Competitive Analysis

Moonblast is one of the best special attack moves to use, which has the secondary effect of having a 30% chance of lowering the target's Special Attack by one stage while having high base damage with perfect accuracy.

Moonblast vs Dazzling Gleam

Most Pokemon that can learn Moonblast can also learn Dazzling Gleam, and it is suggested to use what is best for the format are you playing. In Doubles Dazzling Gleam gets to target all oppsoing Pokemon, while Moonblast does more damage while having a 30% chance to lower the Special Attack by one stage while only targetting one.
