Despite having low accuracy, Stone Edge is one of the most commonly used Rock-type moves, especially when using it as a coverage move.
Using Stone Edge in battle is a high risk, high reward situation wherein it could be devastating if the move misses, but very satisfying if it hits, especially if you land a critical hit.
Stone Edge and Rock Slide both have advantages and disadvantages. Deciding between the two will depend on what you want to happen.
Stone Edge will hit harder than Rock Slide and has a high chance of landing a critical hit, although it will only hit 80% of the time.
Rock Slide, on the other hand, is less powerful but has a chance to make the target flinch. It also hits both opposing Pokemon in Doubles.
List of High-Critical Hit Moves
Stone Edge can be found in the Giant's Bed area of the The Crown Tundra DLC.
Stone Edge is available to purchase from the Watt Traders in the Wild Area for 8000 Watts.
The Watt Traders' selection of TM and TRs changes everyday so make sure to check what's in stock!
It's also possible to get Stone Edge from Rock-type Max Raid dens as a reward for defeating or catching the resident Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon.
It's also possible to get Stone Edge from the Cram-o-Matic, although the chances are still low even when using the right items.
