Competitive Analysis

Role Play is a status Psychic-type move that lets the user copy the target's Ability.

Role Play can be used to reset the weather by copying a weather-changing Ability.

This move is a more inferior version of Skill Swap, as it only mimics the target's Ability, whereas the latter switches the involved Pokemon's Abilities.

Additionally, only a few Pokemon can learn Role Play.

Role Play Locations

Role Play is only available by Default, Level Up, or via Egg Move.
