Solar Beam Competitive Analysis

Solar Beam is arguably the most recognizable Grass-type move in the entire franchise. Not only is it memorable, it's quite strong as well; often used as the primary STAB of Grass-type sweepers. Not only that, but Solar Beam has also found a home as a coverage move for non-Grass Pokemon.

This move is often associated with the Sunny Day as it removes Solar Beam's one turn charge. This is the main reason why you should expect this move when facing a sun team.
