Heat Wave is a strong FIre-type move especially in doubles as it deals damage to both opposing Pokemon. This move also has a 10% chance to inflict Burn.
Torkoal is one of the most prevalent Heat Wave user as it has STAB in addition to bringing out the sun which boosted the power of Heat Wave even more. This made Heat Wave one of the most common Fire-type move for sun based teams.
Heat Wave is available to purchase from the Watt Traders in the Wild Area for 5000 Watts.
The Watt Traders' selection of TM and TRs changes everyday so make sure to check what's in stock!
It's also possible to get Heat Wave from Fire-type Max Raid dens as a reward for defeating or catching the resident Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon.
It's also possible to get Heat Wave from the Cram-o-Matic, although the chances are still low even when using the right items.
