Competitive Analysis

Blaze Kick has a 10% chance to inflict burn and also an increased chance to land critical hits, which is offset by its rather mediocre 80% accuracy.

It's often used seen as a stronger alternative to Fire Punch and Flare Blitz for the Pokemon who can learn it.

The only thing limiting Blaze Kick as a go-to physical Fire-type move is its rather limited distribution.
