It stores poison in an internal poison sac and secretes that poison through its skin. If you touch this Pokémon, a tingling sensation follows. |
It manipulates the chemical makeup of its poison to produce electricity. The voltage is weak, but it can cause a tingling paralysis. |

Toxtricity | ||
A Toxel can be received for free from a woman at the Nursery on Route 5. The player will receive the Toxel automatically upon talking to the woman, so it can be a good idea to save the game before talking to her. If you've saved your game in advance, you can reset to try again if you don't get a Toxel with a good Nature on your first try.

When Toxel into Toxtricity at Level 30, it will permanently take on either an Amped Form or a Low Key Form depending on its Nature. For players hoping to obtain one or both forms of Toxtricity, check the list below to make sure your Toxel has what it takes to reach the right Form.
Amped Form | Low Key Form |
---|---|
・Brave ・Rash ・Quirky ・Sassy ・Hardy ・Lax ・Docile ・Hasty ・Jolly ・Naive ・Naughty ・Impish ・Adamant |
・Bashful ・Gentle ・Bold ・Timid ・Careful ・Calm ・Modest ・Lonely ・Relaxed ・Serious ・Mild ・Calm ・Quiet |
As Toxel relies more on Special moves than Physical Moves, we recommend the Modest nature, which lowers Attack and raises Special Attack.
The Modest Nature will cause Toxel to evolve into Toxtricity in the Low Key Form, so if you would prefer a Toxtricity in Amped Form, consider using a Mint to change an Amped Form Toxtricity's Nature to Modest.
