Tamato Berry is a stat-reducing Berry and will reduce a Pokemon's Speed EVs by 10. This EV-lowering Berry is useful if you have accidentally allocated EV points on a Pokemon's Speed Stat or if you want to reset its EV stats completely.

Used to Lower Speed EVs
Using a Tamato Berry will reduce a Pokemon's Speed EVs by 10. This EV-lowering Berry is useful if you have accidentally allocated EV points on a Pokemon's Speed EVs or if you want to reset its EV stats completely.
A situation where you might use Tamato Berry is if you decide to build a Pokemon for a Trick Room team, where having the lowest Speed stat as possible is crucial.
Additionally, using a Tamato Berry will increase the friendship of the Pokemon it is used on!

You can get Tamato Berry by shaking Berry trees found in Wild Areas and Routes.

Pokemon May Also Fall From Trees
You can get more Berries by shaking a tree multiple times. However, the more you shake it, the higher the possibility that Pokemon will fall from the tree and challenge you into a battle.
It would also mean that the chances of getting Berries will decrease.
